Formed in early 2023 from an unexpected phone conversation with a customer, the Self Love Sisterhood is going from strength to strength!
It all started when Kate from Stones Cricket Club in Ripponden asked us if our Anon Girls wanted to learn to play French Boules (Pétanque)
Initially we were hesitant, but then we thought, why the heck not?! & lets make it into a photoshoot!

We all had such a great time learning to play French Boules that we decided maybe this was something we should do more regularly!
A bunch of incredible women, meeting up, making friends, learning a new skill, having a laugh & doing a photoshoot to promote body positivity . . . What’s not to love about it?!
So when Kate got in touch again & asked if we wanted to learn to play cricket . . . The answer was a YES!
We then had an idea, we could use these meet ups to help promote other independent businesses in the area!
Numerous other ideas had been thrown about but one of the popular reoccurring themes was axe throwing. . .
So we decided to contact the amazing Axe-A-Lot in Halifax!
They agreed to open up early for us and teach us all how to axe/knife throw.
We had the BEST time! (If you haven’t been before you must go!)
Our next meet up involved a lesson (held by our very own Anon Girl Jasmine) in cold water immersion/wild swimming, we wanted to get the last of the summer sun . . . So obviously it was cold & wet BUT we still had loads of fun!
Our most recent meet up was at Back 2 Basics Old Skool Training in Elland.
The girls were put through their paces with workouts & learning some boxing skills!
Everyone got stuck in and we all had a fantastic time! – Even my mum got stuck in!
